The Sunset Motel

Upon arrival, you could feel a retro wave of nostalgia for the Sunset Motel Inn. Each room is a blast into the 1950’s, decorated and furnished with Cadillac colored mini refrigerators, artwork, and record players. Our room (9) came with Journey records. My mom and I’s had a great time playing them while enjoying the ambience. Howard the inn keeper is a wonderful person with a big heart and very accommodating. I definitely recommend the Sunset Motel Inn for its charm, pricing, friendly service with a smile, and nostalgic atmosphere.

Walked in and got a smile on my face. Clean and cute retro decor. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Your fur baby is welcome and has a nice dog area in back for walks. No smoking around the rooms, but there are outside designated areas for this. Andy is the owner and after you speak with him, you will know you are welcome any time. My first solo vacation, I will be going back.

Clean, cute rooms that are obviously regularly maintained. Smart tv, fridge and microwave in the room and ice and vending machines on site. They gave me a great price for a last minute booking and did not charge a deposit like most motels/hotels. The manager was not on site today but met us at the motel to check us in within five minutes of the phone call. It's on Broad street in the heart of Brevard, close to attractions and restaurants. This motel is now our go-to for trips to Brevard.

This place is amazing, if you're looking for a great place to come unwind from life give Andy and his amazing staff a chance to show you what you have been missing! They have beautiful rooms each decorated in its own way! Room 6 is the room to rent if you are looking for a romantic night with your someone special.. That headboard is absolutly beautiful!!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean rooms, Loved the retro look. Especially like staying in one of the original motel rooms but all rooms are great as I’ve stayed in most everyone of them during my stays in Brevard. The back hammock and fire pit area is so quiet and peaceful with huge towering trees and birds galore. The main downtown shopping and eating area is a simple walk away. The motel blends in perfectly with the vibe of this lovely town. It’s a real jewel of a piece of motor hotel history.

Darn cute rooms with adorable retro decor. They sure didn’t skimp on the mattresses or bedding either—very comfortable. The only reason it’s a 4 is that the walls are thin and sound carries from next door. Fortunately our neighbors were quiet and we had a great stay

I needed a more affordable lodging option than the Brevard Music Center while attending a camp there, and am so glad I chose The Sunset Motel! It’s very conveniently located close to the Music Center, and is clean, cute, and comfy! Our room was spotless, the service was great, the family owners were working together cleaning every morning, and our room had everything we needed. The beds are soft and the decor everywhere is adorable. The environment is great; we felt very safe! This is a high/class, family-run motel in a lovely location with very fair prices. I hope to be back!

I had the pleasure of staying at this quaint roadside motel during a trip for hurricane relief. It may not be fancy to some standards, but was very comfortable. Most rooms have small updates but fully have everything needed for a stay. And might I add, great water pressure for a shower. There are hammocks and a firepit in the back where you can chat, have coffee or read a book. I would gladly come back and stay.

This is the most amazing hidden gem in the North Carolina mountains! From check in to check out, this place has it all. We stayed in the cottage that’s behind the main motel. It’s retro decor, cleanliness, and every convenience and detail makes your stay exceptional and made staying there feel like home. Before arriving, we called the owner to check in and were greeted with that top notch southern hospitality you only hear about. The backyard has many fire pits and hammocks amongst and quiet, beautiful canopy of trees. Thank you Sunset Motel for creating a memory that will last a lifetime for me and my family!
